Jago's Bar refit completed

Batchelor Electrical have now successfully handed over Jago's Bar at HMS Drake, Plymouth working with clients Interserve Retail and Interiors and on site main contractors Interserve Defence.

The 12-week ward room project works involved stripping out the existing installation, new dedicated mains distribution for the galley equipment, feature and emergency lighting, small power, data, a scene set dimming rack and testing/commissioning.

In addition, Batchelor Electrical also supplied and installed the latest 50" HD plasma and audio visual system complete with a iPOD docking station and wall plate for a VGA input.

Jago's Bar has been named from a maritime cook - Alphonso Jago, a Commissioned Instructor who in the early 1900's was responsible for devising the General Mess System which is still used today across the whole Royal Navy.

Touches of nostalgia can be seen adorning the refit with Jago's old uniform and other navy memorabilia on display.

The colonial feel to the bar is accentuated with the lighting which includes classical feature pendants mixed with the very latest low energy LED lighting to give a contemporary elegant feel to the bar and bistro areas.

Batchelor Electrical are also currently involved at Plymouth Naval Base with the installation of multiple plasma screens across the site linked to OneLAN's centralised programmable localised media network showcasing a variety of internal information and events.
