Commercial energy audit completed for national property management firm

With increasing energy demands coupled with ever-increasing prices many retailers and organisations are starting to look at their building's energy consumption.

Batchelor Electrical have long been promoting the use of energy efficient fit-outs installing PIRs/LUX controllers, energy efficient lighting, smart meters, automated lighting/power controllers and renewable energy.

We have recently completed a detailed audit of a large 2 floor office for a large national property management firm to evaluate the current energy usage at their head office and put forward recommendations to increase their energy efficiency, saving CO2 and money.

The results from our power quality analyser machine, which was clamped to the sub mains boards for each floor for a 2 week period, showed some interesting energy usage patterns particularly outside of normal working time where the client would have expected much less energy to be being used.

With the forthcoming 2010 Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) going live in April, energy prices are predicted to rise to offset forward thinking organisations investing in renewable green technology.
