To achieve this intention the company will:
Pay particular attention to compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994 (CDM Regulations), as this covers the vast majority of the company’s business activities, and it places considerable responsibility on both management and employees. To this end, therefore, concern for health and safety must be an integral part of company organisation at all levels, and the Directors mean to ensure that this concern will be translated into effective action.
Specialist External Consultants Batchelor Electrical Contractors work in partnership with leading health and safety IOSH/NEBOSH approved consultants to provide the most up-to-date training for all of our site operatives and Project Managers.
SAFE Contractor Approved Batchelor Electrical Contractors is an approved SAFE Contractor. Under the SAFE Contractor system, businesses undergo a vetting process, which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the high standard are included on a database, which is accessible to registered users only via a secure website portal. Employer-organisations who sign up to the scheme can access the database, which enables them to vet potential contractors before they even set foot on site. These employers agree that, as users of the scheme, they will engage only those who have received accreditation. Over eighty major nationwide businesses, from several key sectors, have signed up to use the scheme when selecting contractors for services such as building, cleaning, maintenance, refurbishment or electrical and mechanical work.
Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) H.M. Government and Industry have emphasised the need for industry-wide certification schemes to confirm the levels of competence of properly skilled craftspeople. Batchelor Electrical Contractors fully endorse the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS), recognised by industry as an equivalent to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS). The ECS is administered by Joint Industry Board and the Scottish Joint Industry Board on behalf of Unite (Amicus section), the Electrical Contractors' Association and Select.
