Batchelor Electrical Ltd ensure, where possible, that green issues are kept at the forefront of all aspects of the business including:
- Recycling of all old lamps used both internally and externally on each contract via Mercury Recycling (www.mercuryrecycling.co.uk). Each tube is separated into component parts and mercurial powder distilled to produce 99.98% pure mercury. The mercury, glass and metal are all used in other industries. Mercury Technology are authorised by the Environment Agency (www.environment-agency.gov.uk) with the first Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) licence of its type in the UK.

- Chlorine free, recycled paper from sustainable sources on all direct marketing material
- Use of electronic communication to customers and suppliers to reduce paper
- Recycling of packaging materials and paper from all levels of personnel
